Project Overview
Addressing the disconnect between nature and humans, communities in Botswana fights biophobia in everyday life, by raising awareness through AR education and community engagement this campaign aims to bridge the gap between animals and humans. The goal is to empower people, strengthen the bond with nature, and generate funds for wildlife conservation via SAVE Wildlife Conservation, ensuring a sustainable future for communities and wildlife.
MASTERS RESEARCH DESIGN PROJECT : COLLABORATION WITH SAVE WILDLIFE CONSERVATION
Aim
The aim of the research was to increase knowledge of environmental anxiety and create a campaign for SAVE Wildlife Conservation in Botswana using immersive technology, to educate communities and promote awareness to seek funding for the campaign.
Objectives
• Understand the activities needs of SAVE wildlife Conservation through interviews involved in the project.
• Investigate how immersive technology has helped the health sector to overcome phobias through expert interview and literature.
• To understand the types of campaigns existing in AR/VR and recognize the intended market through competitor analysis.
• Evaluate the general audience perception of environmental issues and use of immersive technologies through questionnaire.
• Conceptualize a solution and then evaluate it.
